6.85 g, Belomorite-Adularia (moonstone) cabochon

Description

A unique cabochon made of Belomorite-Adularia, mined in the polar depths of Northern Karelia – a region known for its harsh landscapes and rare minerals. This stone is a true reflection of northern nature: cold radiance, purity and inner strength. The main feature of this cabochon is its intense bright adularescence, which appears when the stone is turned and creates the effect of inner light. At certain angles, rainbow tints are noticeable, adding depth and expressiveness.
Stones with such a strong pure blue adularescence are rare, especially if they are also transparent. And such specimens from Northern Karelia are a huge rarity!
This cabochon is cut by me by hand and polished on both sides. This further emphasizes its natural transparency and expressiveness
